Mother Seton said, "Faith lifts the staggering soul on one side; Hope supports it on the other; Experience says it must be and love says let it be."
The Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton Award celebrates individuals in our school community who emulate what it means to serve and support our mission. These people give selflessly of their time, talents and treasures. Their service to our school and students and their stand-out volunteerism is the reason for the recognition, but ultimately their support of Catholic education shows their devotion to Christ and His teachings.2025 Recipient: Mrs. Michelle Welsh
She is a blessing to all! Genuine, knowledgeable, kind, creative! She is our "feet on the ground" facilitating and improving any project or event she is involved in. She reflects God's love in word and deed, and encourages by example, others to seek that relationship with Jesus that leads to salvation.
It has been a blessing to collaborate with her for the past two years with the 2025 graduating class. We've brainstormed ideas, worked together on the leadership project for the 8th grade class, talked about the RC Challenge program, and found ways to help students be loved and celebrated! It has been wonderful to work with her!!! She goes the extra mile in helping the CTK parish school community thrive, and I am very thankful for her!
She is a warm and welcoming person, who gives of her time and talent without counting the cost. She has been generous to our CTK community both as a parisher and a school parent. Her eye for detail and love for beautiful things is a great gift.
This year’s recipient has chaperoned field trips, planned and contributed to class celebrations, assisted with and provided her beautiful floral arrangements for the Art Show Social, volunteered her time with fifth grade Literature Circles, assisted the Schola and RC Challenge groups and so much more. She is even the co-chair of the Church Beautification Committee, which is embarking on a multi-million dollar renovation of our church. We couldn’t be more grateful for her contribution to our school, parish and our mission, and for partnering with us to educate her two sons, Henry and Will.
