I am Christ the King’s new Director of Sacred Music. I oversee the parish’s music program: directing the choirs, planning liturgical repertoire, and serving as organist for parish liturgies. At the school, I teach general music in the tradition of the choir school model, giving children a foundation in chant, solfège, and choral singing. I am dedicated to sharing the Church’s rich heritage of sacred music with both students and parishioners, helping them encounter the beauty of faith through the practice of musicianship.
Native to Corvallis, Oregon, I am a Catholic convert and former seminarian for the Archdiocese of Portland. I hold degrees from Linn-Benton Community College, Oregon State University, and the University of Southern California. In addition to my work at Christ the King, I remain active as an organist, pianist, singer, and composer of sacred choral music.
