I am a Spring 2023 kinesiology graduate from Oregon State University and am very excited to be starting at Christ the King as the PE teacher and Instructional Assistant. After growing up playing sports with an active Catholic family with four other siblings (making the kids enough for a basketball team), I dual enrolled and played basketball for Linn-Benton Community College while at Oregon State. I has also coached youth soccer and JV high school basketball.
I first received the call to teach while I was in high school, but did not see what capacity God was calling me to teach in until my time at Oregon State and the Newman Center on campus. There I started falling in love with philosophy and the Catholic liberal arts, and our Lord showed me the value and need of education focusing on the whole human person.
It wasn't only philosophy that I fell in love with at that time: I met my wife Isabella through the Newman Center and we got married in July of 2022. Isabella works at the Holy Family Catholic Clinic in West Linn and we enjoy outdoor activities, soccer, cooking, reading, and they look forward to starting a family and becoming a part of the Catholic community in the area.
