I was born, and raised in the Southeast Portland Catholic schools. I was baptised, received my sacraments and attended school at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish (OLS). After Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Grade School, I was in the third class of four year girls to graduate from Central Catholic High School where my love for science, math and my faith was nurtured.
Upon graduation from CC, I followed my family tradition to the University of Portland. I graduated from the University with a double major in Accounting and Business Computer Systems. I was not happy working as an accountant, but found joy in my volunteer work at OLS. I was teaching three religious education classes and coaching the girls team for CYO when I decided to return to the University of Portland to earn a Master in Education. It was the best decision I ever made!
I did my student teaching at St. Stephen’s where I worked with grades 3 through 8 in the course of the school week. After St Stephen’s, I went on to teach at the Cathedral, All Saints, Saint John the Apostle and La Salle Catholic College Preparatory. During my career I have taught students from third grade through juniors in high school.
I live with my mother, Elizabeth and my two four-legged children; Brayden and Maggie. In my free time I enjoy board games or cards, gardening and cooking for my friends and family.
