8th Grade Homeroom. MS Spanish and 7-8th Grade Religionvandeheyjctkweb.org¡Hola! I teach Religion for grades 7-8 and Spanish for grades 6-8, along with being the seventh grade homeroom teacher. I am in my fifth year at Christ the King after eleven years of missionary life and earning my Master of Arts in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steuvenville. I am excited to continue sharing the beauty and wonder of the Catholic faith, and the rich and vibrant Spanish language and culture.

FAVORITE SAINT: Just one favorite saint?!?! I walk in friendship with many of the saints, but if I have to choose just one, it would be St. Therese of Lisieux. She inspires me with her 'Little Way' of sainthood, of doing the small, everyday things with great love, as it is in the little, ordinary daily things in which God calls us to holiness.
MORE ABOUT ME: My husband and I value our family, close friends, and Godchildren, and to give back our time and talent where we are able. We enjoy exploring Oregon and find ourselves at the coast often. We have begun making pilgrimages giving thanks to the example and lives of the saints, and we hope to continue them into the near future! Our most recent pilgrimage trip together was to Rome for Christmas, and my trip this summer during our CTK ICLE summer educator conference with the opportunity to visit Sr. Wilhelmina Lancaster's Benedictine Monastery (The Benedictines of Mary Queen of Apostles) in Gower, Missouri.
WHY I CHOOSE TO TEACH AT CTK: It is my passion to share the beauty of Catholicism. Nothing gives me greater joy than to share what I have come to know in my own life: the Love of God the Father. What greater achievement may we obtain than to have lived a life fully alive! Life is beautiful, and it gives me joy to see this on a daily basis teaching middle school students year after year. I also love that you never know what each day may bring.
