Since our renewal, I’ve heard from families expressing the desire to have a Catholic Liberal Education for their children beyond 8th grade. This is something that has been on my heart and something I’ve prayed about a lot over the past few years because the school is primary in our work of evangelization and the need for being formed in Christ at that critical time of life. I agree with these parents and have become convinced that we should offer a Catholic Liberal Education beyond 8th grade. I have discussed and discerned this with our parish leadership team and the principal advisory committee. They agree as well. Sarah Taber and I have had conversations with the Archbishop and Elias Moo, the Director of the Office for the Mission of Catholic Education for the Archdiocese. They have given their support and encouragement.
As you’ve heard about our church beautification project, we’re launching a feasibility study of beautifying the interior of our church and of expanding our school to become a K-12. We’ve decided to combine the church beautification and the school expansion in a single feasibility study as it is all part of one renewal and expansion of our mission at CTK. For the feasibility study, we’re estimating $500,000 of startup cost. If we find enough support for this, we hope to start 9th grade in the fall of 2027." Msgr. John Cihak
