Identify students who are struggling in the classroom and support teachers in their mission to meet the needs of all learners.
Assessment:
Assist in administration, management and review of STAR and DIBELS assessments each trimester
Individual assessment of students who have been identified as needing special services or students who continue to struggle in the classroom even with intervention
Collaborate with professionals and public school districts to identify students who qualify for special education
Write individualized learning plans for students who have been identified as needing special services
Instruction:
One-on-one and small group instruction in reading, writing, spelling and math using a variety of strategies for students with individualized learning plans
Push-in classroom support
Work with students to build executive functioning skills
Collaboration:
Provide strategies, intervention materials and best practice books to support teachers
Assist teachers in identifying and implementing meaningful accommodations in classrooms
Conferencing with parents about their child’s testing results, progress and supports
