  Identification:

  • Identify students who are struggling in the classroom and support teachers in their mission to meet the needs of all learners.

  Assessment:

  • Assist in administration, management and review of STAR and DIBELS assessments each trimester  
  • Individual assessment of students who have been identified as needing special services or students who continue to struggle in the classroom even with intervention
  • Collaborate with professionals and public school districts to identify students who qualify for special education
  • Write individualized learning plans for students who have been identified as needing special services

  Instruction:

  • One-on-one and small group instruction in reading, writing, spelling and math using a variety of strategies for students with individualized learning plans 
  • Push-in classroom support
  • Work with students to build executive functioning skills

  Collaboration:

  • Provide strategies, intervention materials and best practice books to support teachers 
  • Assist teachers in identifying and implementing meaningful accommodations in classrooms
  • Conferencing with parents about their child’s testing results, progress and supports
